  • 2½ tbsp coffee (medium-fine grind)
  • 10 fl oz hot water (~200°F)

Steps

  1. Rinse the paper filter with hot water.
  2. Add grounds to the dripper.
  3. Bloom: pour ~2 tbsp water over grounds; wait 30 seconds.

☕ How to Brew Strong Coffee Without an Espresso Machine

Option 1 — AeroPress Concentrate

  • 3 tbsp fine-ground coffee
  • 3 fl oz hot water (~200°F)
  • Stir 20 seconds → press slowly.

Result: ~2 fl oz rich, espresso-like coffee.

Option 2 — French Press Concentrate

  • 6 tbsp medium-fine coffee
  • 8 fl oz hot water
  • Stir → steep 5 minutes → press.

Result: Strong, thick brew for milk drinks.

Option 3 — Double-Brew (Drip or Pour-Over)

  • Brew one cup strong (2½ tbsp per 6 fl oz water).
  • Brew again using that coffee instead of water.

Result: Double-strength without harsh bitterness (do once per batch).

🌡️ Bonus Tips for Strength & Flavor

  • Grind fresh right before brewing for maximum aroma.
  • Brew between 195°F–205°F (below boiling).
  • Don’t reuse grounds — the flavor’s already extracted.
  • Use filtered or spring water; minerals affect extraction.
  • For milk drinks, combine 2 oz strong coffee with 6 oz milk.
